All Star Celeb Slam
POSTPONED: DATE ANNOUNCED SOON
The Manuka Doctor All Star Celeb Slam is BACK and bigger than ever.
Join us on Friday 10 September for a night of non-stop entertainment as some of New Zealand's biggest household names from sport, television, radio and social media go head-to-head in an exhibition style basketball game to raise money for charity.
You won’t want to miss this! Each team will be led by current Sky Sport Breakers players and coaching staff, with a live DJ playing the hottest beats, entertainment throughout and plenty of opportunities to win awesome spot prizes.
Net proceeds raised from the event will go towards Make-A-Wish New Zealand, helping to deliver wishes that provide a significant impact to the lives of critically ill New Zealand children, their siblings, and their wider family.
Pam Elgar, Chief Executive at Make-A-Wish New Zealand, says “we are proud to be working alongside Manuka Doctor, and the Sky Sport Breakers on such an exciting special project. This will provide an empowering impact to the lives of critically ill New Zealand children, their siblings and wider family through the ability to deliver wishes.”
The exact make-up of the two teams for September 10 will be unveiled closer to the game. One of the teams will be captained by Breakers Captain Tom Abercrombie, whose side will be coached by Dan Shamir. Their opponents will be captained by Breakers Star Finn Delany and coached by Shamir's NBL assistant Mody Maor.
New Zealand owned and operated Manuka Doctor has come onboard as a naming rights partner for the event, and made this dream a reality. And the event wouldn't be possible without the support from Bartercard, Burger King, Mai FM, and Sky Sport.
“We want to make as many Kiwi kids hopes and dreams come true – beyond their wildest imagination. This is all about #beeingkind and having a sweet positive experience,” says Nicola Macfarlane, Manuka Doctor Vice President.
