GRAMMY® award winning dynamic duo Tenacious D, featuring Jack Black and Kyle Gass, will bring their Spicy Meatball Tour to Aotearoa with a show at our place!

Before they were known as the best rock band on earth, the former theatre students first formed Tenacious D back in the late ‘90s in Los Angeles. No one could have ever dreamed of where the band’s genius would take them, but take them it did...

Beloved by fans and critics worldwide, the Tenacious D journey includes a hit HBO variety series in 1999, a Platinum-certified self-titled album in 2001, and a feature film – Tenacious D

Just last year Tenacious D launched The Spicy Meatball Tour, performing in 24 cities and selling out London’s O2 the week it was announced. They released their latest hit song ‘Video Games’ – their first new track in five years – and paid tribute to Chris Issak with a viral hit take on his classic ‘Wicked Game’. And finally in December 2023 Jack Black delivered another smash with his surprise hit ballad ‘Peaches’ from the Super Mario Bros. Movie.

Tenacious D remains the Greatest Band That Ever Played on Planet Earth, selling out shows worldwide…. Don’t miss the one and only Tenacious D, when they return to New Zealand this July!

Tickets on sale at 12pm, Fri 9 February from Ticketmaster New Zealand.

The city bylaws are that no alcohol is to be consumed on the streets within Auckland CBD this is pretty strictly enforced by Auckland Police. The law of the land states that if you arrive at the arena intoxicated we can't let you in. If you show signs of intoxication at Spark Arena, then you will be asked to leave. In the exact words of the law "The licensee or a manager of any licensed premises who allows an intoxicated person to be or remain on the licensed premises commits an offence". This is not something we want to happen, so help us out and ease off the drink.
