CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

Entry to Spark Arena (the Venue) is based on your full agreement with these basic Conditions of Entry*, which have been designed with everyone's safety and comfort in mind.

* Restrictions may vary from event to event, so please check the dashboard page for the event you will be attending for any additional notes or conditions that might apply.

 

CUSTOMER SAFETY

  • The Venue operates a thorough security regime and enhanced security checks are already in place. Security is monitored at all times to ensure the safety of all our guests. We request that all customers obey instructions from our uniformed staff at all times.

  • Venue Management reserves the right to inspect any bag, clothing or items via screening equipment and/or bag search checks at any time for the purpose of ensuring there are no Prohibited Items in the Venue.

  • Children under the age of 14 must be supervised by a responsible adult (18+) while at the Venue. No-one under the age of 15 is permitted on the standing GA floor without being accompanied by an adult (18+).

  • Climbing on barricades, stage access or diving and crowd surfing are not permitted.

  • Shoes must be worn at all times.

 

VENUE ENTRY

  • By entering the Venue, you agree that your image, likeness, or voice may be used as part of any photograph or recording of the event for archival or commercial purposes.

  • Children over 2 years old need a ticket to attend arena shows. For family and community events, please check the event information page, as ticket policies may vary.
  • The movement of customers within our Venue and the surrounding area is monitored by CCTV (which may include facial recognition technology) and Body Worn Video Cameras (BWVCs). Our CCTV and BWVCs may film, photograph and record audio of you while in our Venue.

  • Any personal data collected from you while in our Venue may only be used or shared with third parties in accordance with these Conditions of Entry and Spark Arenas Privacy Policy which can be found here: https://www.sparkarena.co.nz/privacy-notice/

  • You agree to only enter the Venue with a valid ticket, pass or invitation issued by an authorised ticketing agent or Venue Management and you may only occupy the area and/or seat indicated on your ticket.

 

BEHAVIOUR & ETIQUETTE

  • Use of smartphones or other devices must not cause distraction or annoyance to others.

  • Unruly and antisocial behaviour will not be tolerated. This includes, but is not limited to, verbal/physical abuse of staff and other customers, obscene, racist or threatening remarks or behaviour, sexual misconduct, attempting to enter a restricted area, climbing, defacing, littering, throwing objects, and blocking thoroughfares or fire exits.

  • You must not solicit, display, attempt to sell or distribute any goods or advertising, promotional or political materials (or similar) to any other person while on our Venue.

  • It is expected that people will want to stand and dance at certain points in the show, however, aisles and walkways must remain clear. Standing on seats and sitting on the shoulders of others is not permitted.

 

PERMITTED

  • Personal effects (coats, bags 30cm x 30cm and under, collapsible small umbrellas (no golf umbrellas allowed)), so long as they can be carried with you and easily stored under your seat.

  • Phones, and other such personal devices unless otherwise specified by the artist (please see etiquette note above).
  • Camera policy varies for each event, but usually small, non-professional cameras may be brought to events.

  • Any certified disability assist dogs, mobility equipment

 

PROHIBITED

  • Food and drink, including commercially branded and homemade unless specifically allowed in the pre-event communication to patrons.

  • Alcohol in any type of container.

  • Bottles - All bottles of any kind (cans, glass, plastic) are not permitted unless specifically allowed in the pre-event communication to patrons

  • Gang patches or colours.

  • iPads/tablets, and laptops.

  • Firearms, fireworks, flares, laser lights & glowsticks.

  • Smoking or Vaping. Please note that any vapes used while in the Venue shall be confiscated and disposed of by our security team and/or Venue Management.

  • Weapons of any kind, including items such as mace and tasers or weapons that may be used for ceremonial or religious purposes.

  • Illegal substances, if found these will be confiscated and handed to the Police after the Event.

  • Musical instruments, rollerblades, skateboards, scooters, bicycles, and sporting equipment.

  • Marker pens, spray paint, and tagging equipment.

  • Banners, posters, flags or signs and any unauthorised promotional, commercial, political, religious or offensive items, including but not limited to: leaflets, stickers or flyers

  • Animals, other than Guide Dogs.

  • Professional cameras and other video or audio recording equipment. This may vary from event to event, please refer to the event page for details.

  • Steel-toed boots.

  • Selfie sticks, SLRs, and hi-res video recorders such as Go-Pros and drones.

 

ALCOHOL

  • Anyone intoxicated or using drugs will be removed from the Venue without recourse.

  • A valid passport, New Zealand Drivers Licence or Kiwi Access/HANZ/Hospitality NZ 18+ card are the only accepted forms of ID for the purchase and consumption of alcohol.

  • Alcoholic beverages must not be taken in or out of the Venue.

  • You may not supply alcohol to anyone under 18 in our Venue.

 

SPECIFIC CONDITIONS FOR INFECTIOUS DISEASES

  • Customers agree to abide by all Pandemic and Health measures implemented by Venue Management.

  • Customers acknowledge that Venue Management can implement measures to mitigate against the transfer of infectious diseases such as Covid-19 but cannot completely remove the risk. You assume all risks associated with infectious diseases such as Covid-19 by attending the Venue.

 

IMPORTANT NOTICE

  • Customers enter the Venue at their own risk. Venue Management has no liability whatsoever for any damaged, lost or stolen property, nor for any other loss, damage or injury suffered by any customer, whether in contract, tort or statutory liability to the full extent permitted by law.

  • Venue Management reserves the right to refuse entry or revoke a customers right to remain in the Venue if you are found to have breached these Conditions of Entry, and any customer ejected from the Venue will not be entitled to a ticket refund.
