FLIGHT OF THE CONCHORDS ANNOUNCE FIRST NEW ZEALAND TOUR IN 14 YEARS
PLAYING FIVE SHOWS ACROSS NEW ZEALAND THIS NOVEMBER

New Zealand’s favourite comedy duo, Flight of the Conchords, are coming home for their first national tour in 14 years.

After an eight-year pause from performing live, Flight of the Conchords surprised Kiwi fans in April with five intimate warm-up shows at Wellington’s Meow Nui, ahead of two sold-out performances at Los Angeles’ Greek Theatre as part of Netflix Is A Joke Fest. Now, Bret McKenzie and Jemaine Clement are set to return to Aotearoa this November for their first New Zealand tour since 2012.

The legendary duo will bring their blend of music, comedy and deadpan Kiwi humour to Spark Arena ib Saturday 21 November.

For fans who have been waiting patiently for almost two decades, this is the homecoming they’ve been hoping for.

General tickets go on sale on Friday 25 September, 12pm.

About the Artist

From humble beginnings performing together in Wellington comedy clubs to becoming an international comedy phenomenon, Flight of the Conchords have built a global cult following with their brilliantly understated songs, unforgettable characters and uniquely Kiwi sense of humour.

McKenzie and Clement first made their HBO debut in 2005 in an edition of the comedy series One-Night Stand, before returning to the network in 2007 for the debut season of their acclaimed, Emmy-nominated series Flight of the Conchords. The series followed fictionalised versions of the duo as they attempted to make it as musicians in New York City, introducing the world to their comedic genius.

Their music career was equally celebrated. After signing a worldwide deal with Sub Pop Records, the duo released the Grammy-winning EP The Distant Future in 2007, followed by their self-titled debut album in 2008, I Told You I Was Freaky in 2009 and the live album Live in London in 2019.

They have headlined stages across the US and UK multiple times, including the hugely successful Flight of the Conchords Sing Flight of the Conchords Tour in 2016.

And while it’s been 14 years since their last New Zealand tour, neither McKenzie nor Clement has exactly been sitting still.

Clement is the co-creator (and occasional guest star) of the comedy horror TV shows Wellington Paranormal and What We Do In The Shadows. He had a recurring role in FX’s Legion, and appeared in films like Men In Black 3, The Minecraft Movie, Megan 2.0, and most recently as “Dr. Garvin” in the last two Avatar films (The Way of Water in 2022; and Fire and Ash in 2025). Earlier this year, Clement starred in the Hulu/Disney+ British comedy series Alice and Steve.

McKenzie was the songwriter for The Muppets, which won him an Academy Award® for Best Original Song for “Man or Muppet,” and “Muppets Most Wanted.” He's also written songs for TV and film, including The Simpsons and The Minecraft Movie. Bret also recently released two solo albums for Sub Pop - Songs Without Jokes in 2022 and Freak Out City in 2025, and has been touring live in New Zealand, Australia, the United States, and the United Kingdom.

Now, after more than a decade, the Conchords are finally heading home. These shows are expected to sell out, fans are encouraged to secure their tickets without delay.
